How do I add a service in Helm?

The following article explains how to add a service in Helm. Helm supports a large number of services, including things like IIS, FTP, SmarterMail and SmarterStats. Before a service can be made available to a website, it must be configured for the server in the Helm Control Panel. If you are using multiple servers in your Helm configuration, each service must be configured on each server that will be supporting the service. When configuring a service, it is recommended to use a friendly or common name that will be easily recognizable by your customers.

To add a server in Helm, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a Web browser and connect to your Helm Control Panel located at https://ip_address:8086.
  2. Login as the Administrator using the information sent to you in your setup email.
  3. Expand Helm System.
  4. Expand Servers, expand the server name and click Services.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Select the appropriate Provider for the service.
  7. Enter a name for the service.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Enter the requested information. This will vary based on the Provider you selected.
  10. Click Save.
